Community

Tequesta, Florida is located on the East Coast of Florida and is the northernmost municipality in Palm Beach County. Tequesta borders the Atlantic Ocean to the East, the Loxahatchee River to the south, Jonathan Dickinson State Park to the North, and the Tequesta Country Club to the West. Most of the village is located on the mainland, but there are two parts of the village on Jupiter Island, which is divided by the county-owned Coral Cove Park.

As of the census of 2000, there were 5,273 people, 2,344 households, and 1,521 families residing in the village. The racial makeup of the village was 97% White (95.8% were Non-Hispanic White,) 0.47% African American, 0.09% Native American, 0.70% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.13% from other races, and 0.61% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.43% of the population.

There were 2,344 households out of which 22.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them.

School

Providence Education Group is a 4-year private K-12 school enrolling 42 students as of September 22, 2021. The school opened in 2014. The student body is 91% White, 5% Hispanic, 2% Asian, and 2% African American.

Curriculum

The High School Progression Plans:

  1. Academic 18-Credit High School Track
  2. Traditional 24-Credit High School Track

(High school credits may be earned in Middle School.)

Honors level classes are offered in English 1,2,3 & 4, Creative Writing, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, US History, World History, Economics, Government, Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Space Science, Environmental Science, Marine Science, Physical Science,

A Dual Enrollment Articulation agreement is in place with Palm Beach State College. Students attend core classes 5 days per week. Electives such as public speaking, debate, fine arts, performing arts, computer coding, and STEM are offered.
